Bereavement Counselling
A calm, peaceful and private space close to Wimbledon Common where you can come for help with processing loss.
Painting by Irene Currie
I am a therapeutic counsellor working with bereaved adults from my home close to Wimbledon Common, SW19.
I focus on clients who are looking for help navigating the mourning process; who feel stuck in their grief; or who need help to make sense of their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

My counselling approach is person-centered and existential and as such I believe that the relationship between therapist and client can bring about positive change. I offer a space that is non-judgmental; honest and empathetic.

I qualified as a counsellor in 2017, having previously worked for 12 years as a solicitor in the area of corporate crime. My previous counselling roles include:

-
assessing and counselling bereaved adults at Kingston Bereavement Service (now Kingston Bereavement Support);
-
short-term counselling at a GP practice in Putney handling referrals from GPs within the practice;
-
counselling couples and individuals in my private practice at home for a range of issues including relationships, difficult life changes, anxiety and loss.

I appreciate that grief can be overwhelming and that the process of mourning takes time and and patience. Each individual will come with a different experience and grief will not be cured by simply completing a series of tasks. However, engaging with the mourning process can help you to move forward with living your life in a positive way.

I look forward to helping you to achieve positive change.
